MARTIAL ARTS THERAPY
Uniting are generously funding a Martial Arts Therapy program for our school. A group of our senior students will participate in this program which will run every Friday afternoon for eight weeks.
WOODWORK
Our woodwork program has started up again and Alex and Huddo are taking a group of students each Wednesday afternoon and teaching them some great wood work skills and how to use tools. Students enjoyed their first session this week and are excitedly planning what they will build.
Book Week Dress Up Day
We will celebrate Book Week on Thursday 24th August. Students are invited to dress up as their favourite book character. We will hold a parade at 9am and prizes will be awarded for the best costume from each class. Students will then participate in a variety of fun, educational activities.
This year’s Book Week theme is ‘Read, Grow, Inspire’.
Father’s Day Breakfast
Our Father’s Day breakfast will be held on Friday 1st September. Families are invited to join us for breakfast from 8am to 8.50am. Breakfast is free and will include bacon, eggs, toast, cereal, tea and coffee.
Father’s Day Stall
Our Father’s Day stall will be held on Friday 1st September. Students will be able to purchase a gift for their father, grandfather, carer or special person in their lives. Gifts will range from $1 to $5. Please do not send along large notes as we have limited change.
Learning Through Lunch
Grade five students will be going to TAFE on Friday 25th August to attend ARDOCH’s Learning Through Lunch Program. This gives students the opportunity to see different career options and study opportunities.
Andy Griffiths Performance at Westside
Students in 4/5W and 5/6S will be going to Westside on Wednesday 30th August to watch the Andy Griffiths ‘Just’ performance.
School Photos
School photo day is on Monday 11th September. Order envelopes have been sent home and need to be returned to school by photo day. Any questions with ordering please contact Tina in the office.
