Brooke has some great activities planned for the Hub for term four and would love to see families drop in. Brooke runs a number of programs including Koorie supported playgroup, 'Cooking and Conversation', Craft & story time, Gardening and play, Culture and Craft and Playgroup with Syeda continues as well. Community Hub Timetable Term Four
Book swap - A range of books are available for both adults and young children to borrow.
Pantry - Please call in and see Brooke if you need some help with food and grocery items.
Craft & Culture - Melinda is a local Aboriginal artist who loves to paint, make jewellery and create art and craft. Melinda runs Craft & Culture on Thursday afternoons from 2pm to 3pm.
Craft & Storytime - is running Tuesdays from 2pm to 3pm. Families with preschool aged children are welcome. We will be heading outdoors this term so please bring a hat and water as well as sunscreen.
Cooking & Conversation - is being run by Sharon from Connected Beginnings. This will be a seven week program commencing on 17th October and running Tuesdays from 10am to 12 noon. Join us for cooking, conversation, friendship, to learn cooking skills and to share culture. Dates for this program are 17th Oct., 24th oct., 31st oct., 14th Nov., 21st Nov., 28th Nov., and 5th Dec.
Playgroup - is running every Friday morning from 9.15am to 11.15am. Syeda from the council is facilitating this in our Community Hub room. All welcome.
Koorie Supported Playgroup - commences on Monday 9th October and runs every Monday afternoon from 2pm to 3pm. This is run by Rumbalara Family & Engagement Services and provides a friendly and culturally safe environment for families. All welcome.
Coffee Time - Call in for a cuppa and a chat. Brooke is very keen for our families to share what they would like to see offered in our hub.
Garden & Nature Play - Our Community garden is growing nicely and students have been excited to harvest some veges and herbs to be used in our cafe along with eggs from our chooks. Brooke runs gardening every Thursday morning and all are welcome to come along and join in. A huge thank you to our volunteers who have done an amazing job developing this area and teaching our students how to grow their own food.
